There’s an MVP approach and you’ll need empathy and the ability to define complex problem spaces and find creative solutions, no matter how “out there” they are. So what is the role about I hear you ask?
This is an exciting and newly created role that provides 99designs’ internal teams with the product, tools and capabilities to dramatically enhance end user experiences. The fundamentals of Product Management are the same; leading cross-functional teams to deliver against their roadmap and using customer and creator data and insights to build out core platform products. And achieving this in a collaborative fashion with Analysts, Engineers, Product Managers, and customers and creators alike.
As Product Manager a large aspect of your role will be to work across multiple teams with a focus on research, discovery and development of automation, machine learning and analytics products and features. There’s a lot of variety to go at here - think recommendation engines, fraud detection, matching systems, NLP and sentiment analysis, as well as database migrations and enterprise wide analytics and reporting products.
You will contribute to the overarching data product strategy and own the product roadmap and play a big part in stakeholder engagement. You will have a natural affinity and desire to solve business problems, have a commercial mindset, and can make decisions based on data, value, insights and prioritisation. And asking why? Or why not? You’ll be responsible for taking the data and insights from their creators and customers, and build out aspects of their scalable, global platform. And you will lead the data & analytics product team to deliver against their roadmap.
A little about you
You are an experienced Senior/Product Manager with excellent knowledge of agile development, with experience in data products and technologies. You understand that everyone wants things done and can make trade-offs while staying on top of your backlog and key initiatives. You’re great at letting people know what’s going on and have the ability to stay focused where the most value is to be gained. You are the master of balancing competing needs, you can balance design, technology, and business while keeping in mind the often conflicting needs of the creator community and clients.
